Rebecca Romijn, an American actress who was a former model. She is famous for playing the role of Mystique, the character from the very first three-part segment in the American superhero show X-Men. Romijn has also been seen in a different Marvel film about superheroestitled "The Punisher.' She played the character of Joan. Romijn began her modeling career as a professional model and has worked for companies including Christian Dior Sports Illustrated Victoria's Secret. She spent more than a decade modeling for large fashion houses. Then, she resigned from the modeling industry in pursuit of acting. Romijn had more success on TV than she had been in Hollywood. She played "Alexis Mead", in the comedy/drama show "Ugly Betty" as well as later was the character "Jessie Nichols" in the series NTSF SD SUV.
